About the Recruitment Drive
Royal Mail has opened applications for its Christmas 2026 seasonal recruitment campaign. The festive period is the busiest time of the year for the company, and thousands of temporary roles are available across its plants, mail centres and parcel hubs nationwide to help cards, gifts and parcels reach customers on time.
Seasonal Roles
- Seasonal Mail Sorter: sort mail and parcels and keep items moving through the network. You must be comfortable on your feet for long periods, lifting mail bags weighing up to 11kg and pushing wheeled mail trolleys weighing up to 250kg.
- Parcel Delivery Driver: deliver cards and parcels to doorsteps. Requires a full manual UK driving licence and the ability to work independently.
- LGV & MGV Driver: transport mail and parcels across the country, working flexibly across locations and shift patterns.
- Customer Service Assistant: support customers by phone or email during the peak season.
Royal Mail recruits seasonal staff together with its partners Angard Staffing, Pertemps and Manpower; depending on location, a vacancy may be advertised directly by Royal Mail or by a partner.

- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and flexible on shifts (the operation runs 24/7, with part-time and full-time patterns)
- For driving roles: a full manual UK driving licence
