About the Role
Australia Post is hiring a Retail Customer Service Officer (Ref 12381972) at its Fremantle Post Shop in Western Australia. This is a permanent part-time position of 25 hours per week, with rostered shifts Monday to Friday between 12:00 PM and 5:00 PM. You will be the face of the post office, helping Australians with their banking, payments, identity services and parcel needs, supported by a welcoming team and ongoing career development.
What You Will Do
- Perform customer sales and service transactions, including cash, cheques, credit cards and EFTPOS
- Process identity service transactions such as Australian Passport interviews
- Promote products and services through upselling, cross-selling and merchandising
- Assist customers with mail and parcel lodgements and associated costs
- Help with administrative duties such as stocktaking and record maintenance
Role Details & Pay
The pay rate is $28.58 per hour, increasing to $30.55 per hour after 3 months, plus 12% superannuation. Australia Post provides a supportive 6-week full-time paid training program on commencement. On occasion you may need to travel between Kwinana, Fremantle and Bibra Lake suburbs. You will also enjoy Post People Perks discounts. Junior rates apply to those under 21 during training.
